Amanda is an interdisciplinary Mexican creative and organizer in the Chicago area. Currently she is an active DJ known as Flores Negras and musician in Doom Metal band Rosaries.

Her events are ran through her event company Flores Negras Productions. All graphic artwork and promotional content is created by Flores.

She creates experiences through her events as a form of art. Highlighting subcultures of Chicanx Idenity and the occult. Creating safe and inclusive spaces represented by the LGBTQIA, BIPOC and allies.

 "I aim to share experiences that express the complexity of identity through combining genres like dark wave, cumbia, old school hip hop, techno, Chicago house, metal, and  funk. Creating continuity through the chaos. The experience is a self portrait of my idenity as a chicana. Being a decendent of immigrants we find idenity from the many faces we wear in our journey of survival."
